A puppy's first groom decides how they feel about every groom after it. This is a short session: a gentle bath, a light trim, nails, and a lot of handling practice with treats in between. Taylor stops before your puppy gets overwhelmed, even if that means the trim is not perfect. A puppy who walks in wagging next time is worth more than a tidy haircut today.

- How old should a puppy be for their first groom?
- Once their vaccinations are done, bring the record and she will check. Earlier than that is a health risk, not a grooming one.
- Will a puppy get a full haircut first time?
- Usually not, and that is the point. The first visit is about the puppy deciding that this place is fine: water, the sound of clippers, having their feet held. A tidy-up is a bonus, not the goal.
