What this actually involves
Most groomers will not take bunnies at all, because a bunny is not a small dog. The skin tears easily, they overheat, they cannot vomit up the coat they swallow while moulting, and a badly handled bunny can injure its own spine struggling. Taylor works slowly: loose coat brushed out, sanitary area tidied, nails done, ears and scent glands checked, the things that quietly cause trouble when nobody is looking. Long-haired breeds can be kept long or taken shorter; she asks how you like your bunny to look before she starts. You get before and after photos, because the difference is usually worth seeing.

About bunny grooming
- Is grooming actually safe for a bunny?
- It is, when whoever is holding them knows what a bunny will do. Bunnies panic in ways dogs do not, a bad grip and a hard kick can injure their own spine. Taylor works on a surface they feel secure on, in short sessions, and stops when the bunny has had enough rather than pushing to finish.
- My bunny is moulting everywhere. Can that wait?
- It is the one thing that should not wait. Bunnies cannot vomit, so the coat they groom off themselves goes into the gut and stays there. A proper brush-out during a moult removes the coat before your bunny swallows it.
- Do you bath bunnies?
- No. A full bath is genuinely dangerous for a bunny. They chill fast, and the panic alone can hurt them. Sanitary areas get spot-cleaned where needed; the rest is brushing, trimming and nails.
- Do you trim nails and check scent glands?
- Both are part of every bunny groom. Scent glands are the thing most owners never look at, and they are also the thing that quietly goes wrong.
